1) Open Orion in Standard view (horizontal tabs) with only 1 tab open
2) Note size and positioning of URL/Search bar
3) Switch to Compact view
4) Open a bunch of new tabs
5) Switch back to Standard view (horizontal tabs)
6) Size and/or positioning of URL/Search bar will now be different to how it was in step 2

When switching back to Standard view (horizontal tabs) the URL/Search bar should always revert to same size and positioning.

        Here you go. At the start of the video, notice how wide the Address Bar is compared to the horizontal tab title. At the end of the video you can see that the Address Bar is noticeably smaller than it was before, compared to the horizontal tab title. There's also now a sizeable gap between the Address Bar and its surrounding toolbar buttons.

          After swicthing back from compact tab layout, some icons ("New Tab", "Website Settings") become far away from the address bar.

          • start with icons near the address bar in toolbar

          • swicth to compact tab layout

          • swicth back to horizontal tab layout or vertical tab layout
          • icons once near the address bar in toolbar become faraway

          icons have normal spacing to the address bar

              With the new RC today (0.99.126.4.1.11-rc) I thought I'd test this again. Problem still exists but I think's related to having Orion in full screen mode. When you're not in fullscreen mode, toggling between Standard and Compact tabs seems to work fine on a clean profile. But when I'm in fullscreen mode, all sorts of size and positioning issues can happen. Sometimes the tabs disappear completely, sometimes the URL bar disappears as well. Even with a clean profile.

                Here's a video of what happens for me on beta. Despite having 5 tabs open, when I switch to Compact view those tabs just disappear. I click the New Tab button multiple times, no tabs appear. Then I switch back to Standard view and the tabs appear but with graphical artifacts. Sometimes the URL bar gets resized and/or shunted all way the over to the left or disappears entirely, but that didn't happen on this occasion. When I first reported this problem it was happening in Window mode as well but it seems to have fixed and works as expected there. Hasn't been fixed in Full Screen mode though.

                Sorry, but this is definitely not "Done". Nothing has changed as far as I can tell. Compact tabs are still really buggy in Full Screen mode, to the point of being useless. The broken behaviours described and shown in my post above are still present.

                  Just retested this in 0.99.128.1.1.1-rc and it seems to be fixed. I'll keep testing to be sure though.
