I noticed that the latest RC [Version 0.99.126.4.1.7-rc (WebKit 619.1.1) Build date Feb 20 2024[ felt sluggish and ran it through Browser Bench versus previous beta/RC and it does measure slower.
Version 0.99.126.4.1-beta (WebKit 618.1.2)
Build date Dec 14 2023
Final: 138 / Peak under Details: 147
Version 0.99.126.4.1.6-rc (WebKit 619.1.1)

Final: 136 / Peak under Details:141
Version 0.99.126.4.1.7-rc (WebKit 619.1.1)
Build date Feb 20 2024
Final: 126 / Peak under Details: 129
Interestingly watching the progress bar on the most recent RC, it just looks like it is struggling. Whereas the earlier versions appear to accelerate towards the end, the most recent RC is sluggish all the way through.
This is on a MacBook Air i3 running Catalina. Ran benchmark on each browser at least twice and also tried running older and newer versions in different order just to make sure that wasn't affecting results.
Expected Version 0.99.126.4.1.7-rc (WebKit 619.1.1) to benchmark (as well as feel) as fast as Version 0.99.126.4.1.6-rc (WebKit 619.1.1) [and ideally Version 0.99.126.4.1-beta (WebKit 618.1.2) which appears fastest so far but understand performance regressions are possible between WebKit versions]
Overarching desire is for "snappiness". Somehow Version 0.99.126.4.1-beta (WebKit 618.1.2) had it. If different RC versions have additional debug options enabled no problem and understand the final version will likely restore.
