The duplicate tab gesture creates an empty white page that fails to refresh. I see the same behavior when duplicating a fully loaded page and when duplicating the home page.
Duplicating a webpage should create a copy of the page. Duplicating the home page should create a new home page.

As a feature request, you could also add the “duplicate” functionality to the “new” or “tab” button long-press actions. This will allow more people to use it. Anything that can be mapped to a gesture should also be usable without a gesture.
FYI - In case this has already been marked fixed…
I’m on the latest testflight release 1.3.8 (5), and it kind of works, but only the first time. After returning to the original tab, the Duplicate Tab gesture simply opens a blank page.

This feature is still unfortunately not working correctly (see my comment above).
Additionally, I would have loved to see this duplicate tab functionality on + (new tab) long press, as some people may not afford to dedicate a gesture, but would still like to use this feature.
