Orion starts lagging when I expand or shrink the size of the browser window. It seems to be related to the elements that are moving on the web page. The more elements there are which resize the worse it gets. So far reddit.com is kind of the worst. Every little expanding or shrinking the window resizes the pictures and videos of the posts and rearrange a lot of text. Moving the window around isn't a problem at all.
It's like here but way more extreme:

  1. create new clean profile
  2. open reddit.com
  3. change the window size in any direction by grabbing an edge with the mouse
  4. the window size "animation" is like 3-7 fps
  5. try different User-Agent
  6. repeat from 3 with every User-Agent
  7. try Compability Mode and repeat from 3
  8. reset User-Agent and deactivate Compability Mode
  9. open youtube.com
  10. change the window size in any direction by grabbing an edge with the mouse
  11. no problem at all (minimal stutters but nothing to mention)

macOS 12.7.3
M1 Max
64GB RAM
32C GPU

I tested Safari, Firefox and Brave. None of them had that issue.

Version 0.99.126.4.1-beta

Monterey (12)

In the last few weeks I have indeed been using my laptop exclusively with a monitor that is connected via USB-C and also using it as a power supply (LG 38WN95C-W). However, I disconnected the monitor and the problem still exists.
Before updating from macOS 12.7.2 to 12.7.3 I recognized the browser running unstable from time to time. Most of the times YouTube was a trigger when the sound of a video kept running but the picture froze. In this moment pausing and starting the video took also about 2 seconds. I didn't use any Browser Extensions to check if it was related to it.
Unfortunately Orion is completely unusable right now due slow response (not only when resizing). e.g. the YouTube problems are now constantly.
