The feature is for information density in the sidebar while viewing folders for bookmarks and bookmarks themselves.
reduce the font sizes as well as the spacing between each line of text?
like what firefox is doing for the sidebar of bookmarks:

mazil macOS has a system-wide setting for this sort of thing (that is ignored in Orion).
davidfmiller what do you mean by "ignored"? Orion doesn't apply this setting?
mazil Correct.
Ignoring something is different than feature not being implemented, which is the case here.
Can someone make mockups of what would different macOS settings map to?
Maybe this would be a different feature request, but rather than respecting MacOS's settings, might it make more sense to implement a feature that allows users to adjust the size of the sidebar font (either smaller or larger) independently of MacOS's settings, regardless of whether the side bar is showing Windows, Tabs, Bookmarks, or the Reading List? If so, ideally the sidebar icon size would automatically change with the sidebar font so that the font size and icon size are always proportionate to each other.
If this should be a different feature request, let me know and I can request it specifically.

this is what i originally proposed. so this should be relevant here, under this post.
