I've been using Orion for a week now and I really enjoy the Profiles feature – besides the separate history, preferences etc. it helps me keep work and free time apart. It would be based on the current macOS Focus mode (Personal, Work, Do Not Disturb, Sleep etc.). Basically you can set rules in the system preferences to allow/ban a given app or feature, just like you would do with contact notifications, and keep windows of your life apart hehe

Let me know what you think! And thanks a lot for the great work ofc

This would mimic Safari's similar feature which kinda nudges you to use separate windows depending on the Focus mode (Personal, Work etc. as listed above). You can always go back to the windows of another Focus mode if they are open, but e.g. whenever you click on a link in a different app it opens it in the window of the current Focus, and whenever you try to reach for the 'wrong' window it brings you back to the 'right' one at the first attempt at least.

Not exactly the same thing, but I use the free app Velja to set what browser/app I want to open what kind of link, and it is compatible with Orion Profiles. I set up Velja so that links to websites I use for work automatically open in a browser window of the work profile, websites I use for school automatically open in the profile I use for school, etc. This is particularly helpful when clicking links in e-mails or messaging apps like WhatsApp/Discord/Slack.

jamesignore Would you mind elaborating further how would this work in the cntext of Orion UX (not famliar/not using system Focus mode much).
