Here’s a video Vlad. I didn’t use Stage Manager on iPadOS until 26 and unfortunately a lot of apps don’t properly support edge swipes when in this mode (ignoring non-full screen modes). Attempting to swipe from the left edge of the screen to the right in Orion only prompts Stage Manager. In Safari, it is far more reliable in allowing in-app swiping to supersede the Stage Manager slide over. Needless to say, if you have an active Slide Over window on the right side of the screen, Safari allows you to edge swipe from right to left without prompting Slide Over as well, while Orion will only activate Slide Over rather than the set in-app action.
Given how few third party apps handle this, if any at all, it almost seems that this is an Apple-only override (pessimistic assumption). It’d be wonderful to be proven wrong as this otherwise makes common edge gestures impossible on iPad for Orion unless you only use the Full Screen Apps mode.
