Typing in Bitwarden is slow, and it says it's in a private tab even when it's not

Typing is sometimes slow—it can take >200 ms before a character I type appears in a text box
Bitwarden says it is in a private tab even though I am in a regular Kagi tab, and locks itself

Typing should be as fast as in Safari
Bitwarden should not lock itself for each new tab

Private tab issue happens for me when the extension crashes and until a further browser restart. You can simulate this by killing the extension via activity monitor. But sometimes it happens without any specific triggers.

Solving #3882 would possibly do that with the trade-off having to maintain an open source repo, but that's an offtopic 🙂

Haarolean Kagi has almost a dozen open source projects and the amount of contributions are minimal or non-existant. For example Kagi extensions for different browsers are in dire need of bug fixing and they had zero contributions from the open source community (we ended paying someone to do this). And it is 100x easier to contribute to a browser extension then orion/webkit codebase. So while it may sound nice on paper, our experience is that open sourcing Orion will not bring any benefit, and would just extra stretch our already thin resources.
