It shoudl be saved, especially with the sidebar showing the synced devices and window gruops or bookmarks.
Save the state upon restart.

Sidebar keeps randomly disappearing, saved state of sidebar is not saved upon exit.
do you have steps to reproduce? The sidebar works fine for me.
