The idea is to maximize screen real-estate. With this feature, the address bar would only appear on hover or after pressing a keyboard shortcut. This is similar to Arc's implementation, except that the address bar is at the top.

I know focus mode already exists, but it doesn't let you see the address bar again unless you exit focus mode.

Here is how Arc does it:

Ideally, Orion would do something similar, albeit with the native-looking safari-like address bar.

    just hovering near the top. Similarly, for vertical tabs, you could do the same by hovering on the left.

    Ideally it would work exactly like focus mode, but when you hover the mouse high enough for the three dots to appear, the address bar would appear as well:

      Hey @Vlad I'm assuming you're one of the creators/developers here.

      And yeah @OxCUBE here is dead on.

      I'm a dev/design/product guy and my first impression of Orion is that it's WAY better than any other browser I've been futzing around with.

      But, I take Screenshots a ton. And in Arc, they just can't be beat. And all it is is allowing the top bar to be hidden/displayed. (Also helps if you can choose the color theme for the border.).

      You do it for the sidebar, why not the top bar? It makes a huge difference, plus your top bar is already huge, even when the tabs are on the side.

      I was hunting for how to hide the top bar and that's the entire reason I ended up on this forum.

      Speaking of, I had never heard of Flarum, they are legit. Gonna see about using them now.

        mpstaton I have the same usecase. Honestly when I used Arc, I loved it. Before Arc, I used to do this using a separate tool, it was pretty quick to spin up if you have Node on your machine:

        Actually I skimmed through the Features, and apparently Orion has focus mode (⇧⌘F) - which is probably good enough for me.

            I skimmed through this thread, and everything being described is exactly how Orion's focus mode currently works, including maintaining focus mode even after interacting with the address bar. If that is not the case, could you clarify what else needs to be added?
