Allow closing pinned tabs with cmd W

TheOtherKai Just closing it is much simpler. Or making command+w unpin the tab, before closing it. Or create a shortcut for pinning tabs.

Vlad It still takes the mouse to use, it is much simpler if you can simply do it with command+W shortcut.

Fortrikka this is currently replicating Safari's behavior. I am not quite sure why does it do it (it seems like one of the many questionable UX decisions in Safari?)

Vlad Well actually, I think that I have changed my mind regarding this because sometimes I have very long pages that I absolutely do not want to close, because if I do I would have to recall from memory where in the text I was. So perhaps the real thing that should be done is instead adding a shortcut to pin tabs instead of allowing command+W just to remove your pinned tabs, as that would mean pinning tabs is merely visual. So what should be done is allowing a shortcut such as command+shift+i, which will override the shortcut for the command+i that is on this website.
If an additional shift key is pressed by the way, such as command+shift+i, it should not use the website shorcut. Website shortcuts should only take precedence if the shortcut in question is transparent. So command+shift+i should not be overrided by the italic shortcut on this website. I know that this should be a separate request, but I do not want to make too many request as I have made way too many already.

Vlad Still wondering whether if Safari's inability to close pinned tabs directly is intentional or not.

Nowhere on this website does it mention that closed tabs are immune to the close tab shortcut.

Vlad I would say that this browser shouldn't replicate Safari's illogical behavior exactly as other browsers such as Chrome and Firefox allow closing of pinned tabs with a simple command+W.
Also, if the argument for accidental closure is in play, that makes zero sense because the shortcuts ⌘Q closes the whole browser, and ⌘⇧T can simply restore the pinned tab.
Also, the contents and inputs except for the scroll position in pinned tabs save, so pinned tabs are more for the link content than the actual content within.

Edit: I just discovered that there is in fact already a shortcut to pin tabs, but it is unfortunately overriden by command+i somedhow. Please make it so that shortcuts such as command+shift+i are not overriden by shortcuts such as command+i that are not related to the browser shorcuts.
Also, perhaps provide an option that dictates whether pinned tabs can be closed by the normal command+W buttons or not in the preferences instead, as I think that some people would want this.

One thing however, which would be slightly helpful would be the showing of a warning before closing a tab with vimium with the 'x' key, as pinned tabs can still be closed that way with vimium.
