Sometimes, hitting return in a textarea does not have a visual effect. Interestingly, if you keep typing after that, the cursor will jump to the correct position, so the keystroke is registering; the view simply isn't updating.
Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to consistently reproduce this, but it's present on every site into which I've typed in a textarea. It's even more common when striking return twice.
Steps:
- Type text into a textarea (such as this one!)
- Hit enter
The cursor should jump to the beginning of a new line below the current line.
