Would this not add too much of UI on top of keyboard?

        IMO, no

Waze has something similar, and I think it works just fine.

Is this also responsible for the apparent lack of auto-correct in Orion?

I have to admit - given the choice, I would choose predictive text & auto-correct over the existing top row without thinking twice. I used to think my typing was fine, but apps such as Orion & Firefox Focus which disable auto-correct have made me realise my typing is actually atrocious - at least on touchscreen devices.

The top row that’s there can be convenient from time-to-time. But either an additional row or else replacing it with a more traditional one would be more convenient, more often for me personally.

I can confirm that it is not.

What platform is that screenshot from?

OP tagged the thread as ‘Mobile’ and talks about “small screens.”

sarno Haaaarg I keep making the same mistake.
On Orion Desktop, sorry guys 😅

I probably should try the dark mode.

Yannick We’re going to have to start referring to that as “doing a Yannick”… ❤️
