At the time the Update available panel for Version 0.99.126-beta (WebKit 616.1.22) appeared, I had several windows with several tabs open in Orion. I chose to install the update, so Orion had to be quit. As usual, it said that all its windows would be closed now, but all would reopen again after a new launch. That had indeed worked reliably for me.

However, after the installation of the update and the ensuing relaunch of the new Orion version, only the frontmost Orion window was restored, all other windows were lost.

All formerly open windows would be restored.

BTW: the new tool tip for tabs

drives me crazy, because it needs an additional click each and every time to get rid of its redundant information. Any way to disable it?

Uli What is the content of the option Orion starts with in your general settings? Can you reliabliy reproduce this with restarting orion (cmd q to quit )

One feature suggestion/bug report per post please. That is the thumbnail preview feature, same as with horizontal tabs.

No, it seems to have been a one-time glitch. For the next update (November 10), this did not happen. Right now, I can’t launch Orion, so I can’t check any further.

Today, the issue reappeared, but not in the context of an update, but of a regular reboot of my Mac (without quitting Orion before).

All windows of the last session [translated back from the German GUI]

Vlad Can you reliabliy reproduce this with restarting orion (cmd q to quit )

No; it seems to depend on specific circumstances:

        • No regular Quit, but one under specific, "external" circumstances (such as an Orion update or reboot of the Mac)
        • Many open web pages

Could this be some kind of race condition, where Orion is quit before it was able to save all open tabs and windows? It seems to me that only the most recently opened web pages "survive".

Are the open pages saved only when Orion quits or in regular intervals, and where? I lost a lot of information, so I would like to restore an earlier snapshot of the open pages with Time Machine, if possible.

Uli You can save/restore the entire Orion workspace through File -> Profile -> Select profile -> Take Snapshot

Good to know for the future, but that does not help now, of course, because there is no snapshot yet. Is there a way to do this automatically in a specific time interval, just like Time Machine?
