Better find on page

Is there any update on this? I've signed up on this forum just to suggest a new design for the find bar and got surprised to see that there's a 3 y/o thread with the same request. The lengthy design is so ugly...

In the search box, only the total number of results is shown. Would be nice to see which instance of the find result is currently being viewed (i.e., 5 of 359 instead of just 359).

If the word "bike" appears 12 times on a page, the find-on-page interface will show 12.

I'd like to see it updated to show the position of the current match such as "2 of 12 matches" or "2/12".

The find-in-page search box on Orion (and Safari) is rather small and hard-to-read/use for my old eyes. The box is small and the number of hits is in a very light color. I find Firefox's equivalent to be well implemented and easier to use.

Request: Please make the find-in-page box larger and easier to see. Perhaps this could be in Settings->Appearance if others are used to the way it is. If this can be addressed by a Theme, I'd like to know how to go about it.

No idea where that ended. Some comments went the opposite way, wanting the box to be even smaller...

We just copied Safari back then but I agree we can do better. I'm going to merge your comment with the other one ... and do something!
