What happened? How did it happen? What are the steps to replicate the issue.

  • Visit a Mastodon instance such as mastodon.social or twit.social or mstdn.ca and view the feed. When the page loads, the fonts are normal but shortly after loading the fonts become blurry. Zooming in or refreshing has an effect on this.

This occurs on a clean profile and did not happen with the previous Orion RC release.

What did you expect to happen? Describe the desired functionality.
No blur! 🙂

What version of Orion are you running?
0.99.125.8-rc

    I noticed that a "fix" for this is to two finger zoom in, then zoom back out

      I tried a bunch of different sites but the only one I could reproduce easily was Mastodon so I'm glad you also see it @eirk

      That said, I just managed to get it to happen here on this site after a refresh.

      Yeah, not just Mastodon. I'm seeing it there easily but I'm seeing it here too on the forums!

      it also happens on youtube if you tap your account icon in the top right, as well as on twitter when it finishes loading

      I restarted Orion and tried compatibility mode but that both didn't fix it.

      I expected that the text renders sharp just like Chrome and Safari do

        It seems like the entire Apple website has this issue on Orion (also in Private browsing)
