Also please try toggling GPU process flags in Develop->Experimental Features

I have the same issue...same computer.
MacPro5,1, macOS 10.14.6, AMD Radeon R9 280X (flashed).

Anything that uses Google Map background shows up correctly for 1-2 seconds then has a red overlay.

I have the same issue, and have had since I started using Orion a few months ago.
[Almost] same Mac again - Mac Pro 4, 1 updated to 5,1, macOS 14.6, AMD HD 9750 [Mac flashed]
Google maps shows for a couple of seconds then goes solid red, direct maps or embedded in other web pages. Occasionally instead says 'information for this area cannot be displayed' instead.
Currently on Orion 0.99.132.2-beta WebKit 619.1.11.111.2
Same with compatibility mode on or off. Only extension uBlock Origin, up to date.
