What does your feature entail? What is it for? How will it affect existing workflows or user experience?
Similar to completed feature "Reopened tabs should retain their back history" except I would like to see history for every tab retained through closing and restarting Orion itself. Since the program already restores tabs and groups, retaining the history as well would truly allow picking right back up with a browsing session right where you were when the program was closed.

What are the exact ways that you see a user using your proposed feature? Please go into as much detail as possible, and provide examples of how other browsers/apps implement this feature, if applicable. If your feature suggestion adds on to an existing feature, how would it work into it to extend its usefulness?
This is normal behavior in Chrome; users can expect to pick back up with a browsing session, moving back through tab history individually to previous pages even through program restarts. It basically reflects current Orion behavior in restoring tabs that had been closed during a browsing session, so it's a little jarring that it doesn't work the same through closing/reopening the application.

This has been implimented when a user re-opens a tab using ⌘⇧T. I believe this should also be the same function if a user re-opens a tab from the History > Recently Closed menu item.

    Completed ticket: https://orionfeedback.org/d/407-reopened-tabs-t-should-retain-their-back-history

    Steps to reproduce:

    • Have a window with two tabs open.
    • In one of the tabs, go to https://www.duckduckgo.com
    • then, go to https://kagi.com
    • observe that the back button is not disabled
    • Close that tab, and reopen that tab by clicking the History menu item, navigating to Recently Closed, and selecting the closed tab
    • Observe that the back button is now disabled
dannb changed the title to Reopened tabs from History menubar should retain their back history .

dannb I agree that's probably related functionality, but the request is for that history to be retained when Orion itself is closed and opened again--not only when a tab is re-opened from the history menu bar. The title you've set no longer reflects that feature request.

dannb I have no idea how. Perhaps it's because I'm not an Orion+ member, but I don't see any way to edit the title after submission.
