Steps to reproduce:

  • Install Orion on two macs, both signed into the same iCloud account.
  • Make sure iCloud sync is enabled in prefs.
  • On mac1, open some tabs and create a named tab group / window.
  • On mac2, open Orion and notice that the named group syncs properly. Quit Orion.
  • On mac1, open a few new tabs. Quit and restart Orion. Notice that the tabs were saved/persisted.
  • On mac2, open Orion. The newly opened tabs will not appear.
  • On mac2, disable and enable sync. The newly opened tabs still do not appear.

Expected behavior:
Not only should the initial set of tabs synced when the named group was added, updates to that group should have propagated. Also this should have propagated bidirectionally.

      doesn't work at all. On mac1, when you restart, you'll see that the new tabs are lost.It's almost no wonder that the sync isn't working, since even locally on mac1, the new tabs do not stick on a restart. It's as if it won't save to iCloud yet on startup it reads the tabs from iCloud rather than locally.
