    I have the same problem.
Settings > Appearance > Default font

    What Happens:

    • Changing the default font doesn't change the System UI Font, nor the Page Font.
    • The line height changes on pages when I switch the default font to something obscure like Zapfino for specific sites like reuters.com.

    • Using Page tweaks from the ToolBar to change the font from Default to a custom font works

In Settings > General > Language, I have English selected but I want Japanese Characters instead of Chinese characters for the System UI, bookmarks and open tab names. So I wanted to change the default font to a Japanese Font.

Same behavior, though I have not noticed line height changes, I do find that setting default font has no effect but page-by-page font changes work.
