Steps to reproduce:

  1. Select "Settings."
  2. Select "Advanced" tab.
  3. Notice the "Enable JSON formatting" option.

Expected behavior:
The browser will render a JSON file (e.g., https://jsonplaceholder.typicode.com/posts) formatted instead of plain text, obviating the need for an extension.

jackjkal Can you try some other .json examples. this does not seem to be a typical json (starts with an empty line)

      Hello Vlad,

Perhaps I misunderstood what was meant by JSON formatting. I assumed it would do what the JSON Formatter extension does, thus obviating the need for it.

In any case, here's sample JSON from an MDN repo.

jackjkal This appears to be correctly formatted for me. The extension you point to, also has coloring which we do not have.
