  • Orion sometimes does not offer to store login credentials in the keychain

  • BugsDesktopDone

Steps to reproduce:
Got to a web page with a login form, fill out the credentials (not yet contained in the keychain) and log in.

Expected behavior:
Orion offers to store the login credentials in its keychain (provided the feature is enabled).

Actual behavior
Sometimes, Orion does offer to store the credentials, sometimes it does not do so immediately, but surprisingly offers to do so later when you click on a link on a page within the secured realm, but most often it does nothing.
(Freshly installed Orion, Compatibility Mode did not help)

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Version 0.99.125-beta (WebKit 616.1.22)
Build-Datum Jul 31 2023
Mac Pro (macOS Mojave 10.14.6 build 18G9323)

Make sure you have an account with amazon.com, but have not stored the password for it.
      Go to www.amazon.com
      Click Hello, sign in
      Enter your email address
      Enter your password
      Click Sign in
Orion does not ask if it should store the login credentials.
Click a link, e.g. Customer service
Orion now suddenly asks if it should store this password.

          Yes.

I've been having this problem for the past month or two also.
OrionRC is not offering to save passwords. It used to, but doesn't now.
The AutoFill setting is on and set to use Orion.

For example, this is a problem with WSJ, not a minor site.

I noticed that too, something is broken with offering to save.
