Steps to reproduce:

  1. Find any link to Discord channel
  2. Open it in Orion browser and tap "Open in Discord"
  3. Discord opens but nothing else happens.

Expected behavior:
Clicking the link will open the Discord and accept the invitation to the channel.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Orion: v. 0.99.124.4.8-rc
macOS Venture 13.4.1
MBP M1 2020

Here I demonstrate that nothing happens using Orion and then open the same link with Safari and we see that it actually accepted the invitation and now I have a new channel in Discord:

    2 months later

    What happened? How did it happen? What are the steps to replicate the issue.
    When I click "Accept Invite," discord launches but it doesnt connect to the invited server.

    What did you expect to happen? Describe the desired functionality.
    I expect the discord client to have joined the server instead of just popping up

    What version of Orion are you running?
    0.99.125-beta

      This is exactly the same issue that happens with me, so i mostly just copy the discord server join link and paste it into chrome to join. I hope this gets fixed soon

          Seems to happen with our own Discord invite from the Help menu too.

            It’s worth noting that you can copy the link and input that into discord’s join server button, but it’s way less simple

                  @Vlad maybe give this some priority? It is looking very bad. I mean 1.5yrs ...

                  I tried to tell someone to join our discord with the help drop down and was embarrassed.

                  • The accept invite is actually successful, but still display error
                  • The workaround is page back (cmd+left arrow) on the error page, and since reload and full reload won't fix it, I doubt how many people will try page back.
                  • This is affecting all discord invites, you can test with any discord invite from search

                    JSiuDev Thank you for reporting this. We are looking into this, and this is happening when there's no Discord native app installed, so instead of canceling the discord:/// URL navigation, it's showing failed page error.

                    We will fix this in next build.
