  • Let the swipe left gesture close tab like the back button does on links opened in new tabs

Brief Summary
Allow the swipe from left gesture to work the same as the back button on links opened in new tab

Details:
Right now the swipe from left gesture doesn’t close the tab like the back button does on links opened in new tab. I enjoy swiping from the left cause it’s more ergonomic for me than reaching for the back button for my hand and phone size combination. This is already done by safari and would great to see it added.

This is an operation that is done multiple times per day in a normal browsing workflow for people who use gestures.

It would greatly improve the experience and the flow with the browser.

It is also probably a low hanging fruit given the low complexity and the fact that the behavior is already implemented when clicking on the “back” button instead of using the gesture.

Is there a possibility that this is implemented?

    Thanks in advance.
