Private Internet Access (PIA) VPN extension doesn't show anything (blank extension window/popup)

Steps to reproduce:

On either mobile or desktop:
Get either https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/private-internet-access-ext/ or https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/private-internet-access/jplnlifepflhkbkgonidnobkakhmpnmh?hl=en/
Click on the PIA extension icon for the pop-up UI

Expected behavior:
chrome, firefox and opera have functional PIA extensions, in which the popup will prompt for a user PIA login, and then connect to the PIA VPN for that particular browser's activities

I hear that protonVPN has a login window working, but not the actual vpn connection portion. There might be a mix of similar issues wthin other vpn extensions.
