Add the user agent setting to WebApps

Some websites profit from certain user agents, e.g., Bing Chat.

Thus, it would be great if there would be an option to set the user agent for WebApps.

Vlad I understood that from previous posts I have seen about opening links and I‘m alright with that.

I‘m just not sure if adding a dropdown menu to the settings that show up when creating the WebApp would harm your wish to keep it simple?

Another possibility would be to take the set user agent from Orion when creating the WebApp?

I can just tell that Bing Chat for example doesn’t work without a proper set user agent, which would be a wonderful usecase for a Orion WebApp.

It wouldn't. What would, is doing that, then everyone else seeing it and saying you did that, why can't you add this too, and then you end up with a full browser again.

So the question we are asking is this feature essential or uniquely useful to a Web App.

Vlad I respect that of course.

What Mcrosoft does with Bing Chat could lead to similar waves from other companies like Google or Apple. Meaning user agents could become more important in the future. But who knows.

I would have liked to use WebApps for Bing Chat, which to my knowledge doesn’t work otherwise.

I don’t know how important this is to others. I‘m grateful for every change you make based on user feedback, if this one doesn’t make it, it is still much better than what other browsers offer.

I was about to create a feature request for the exact same thing. I am trying to create a web app for Bing Chat, but cannot do this on Orion as I need a user agent switcher on the web app to change it to Edge.
