Disable Extensions and Programmable Button on New tab page

I don't see any practical application of why they are required on start page. Moreover, disabling them may allow reduced memory usage and improved performance, however small it may be.

Also, it may prevent cases like opening https://web.archive.org/web/0/orion://newtab/ when using open in web archive button.

joystmp You could still use web archive from the menu so that would not solve it.

There are many extensions that do not require a web page - like note taking extensions or password manager, it is Ok to be able to access them from start page.

Will leave this for discussion. It would be to get an overview of how safari/firefox/chrome behave for comparison.
