Steps to reproduce:

  • I have Netflix installed as a web app, and I noticed that there's a persistent "Downloads" button appearing in the top right corner for seemingly no reason; there are no downloads in the list, and I have not downloaded anything from Netflix. In my normal browser, the button is not visible since I have cleared downloads.
  • There appears to be no way of removing this, no right click action or menu bar actions

Expected behavior:
No downloads button appearing in any webapps at all unless the webapp specifically downloads something in that session.

Cannot seem to upload video no matter how many times I try, here's a screenshot instead

minte Can you show a screenshot of the error message? How large is the video?

Sure, I made 2 separate screen recordings and none seem to work.

        • files are .mov files recorded using macOS native screen record
        • sizes are 101.5 MB and 135.3 MB
        • Both times get this message in bottom left hand corner of window, this is happening in both Firefox and Orion
        • Tried both drag and drop and upload button
        • This issue of upload problems is unrelated to the original ticket
          4 days later

minte The video issue should be fixed now.

This report is referring to the fact that the downloads button in Orion disappears when there are no recent or current downloads. On web apps, this toolbar button is persistent regardless. The web app button should match the behavior of the browser and remain hidden until necessary.
