Press command+F while find menu is active to hide it.
This isn't how it works in Google Chrome and Safari. I don't think this should be added.

Indeed, I believe in most browsers, Cmd+F will re-focus on the find box (and select all text), so you can type another query.
The current Orion behaviour matches Firefox and friends (and what I describe here)
gp Oops, I didn't remember that it was what happened in other browsers… I guess this should be a no fix then.
I’ll also vote for no change. I want cmd f to focus on the find box. There are a few apps where it doesn’t and it is very annoying.
