Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open orionfeedback.org on Orion( or Safari TP)
  2. Open a new bug report form
  3. Select one line of text with your mouse
  4. Delete it by pressing backspace
  5. Attempt to write something
  6. Nothing should appear and the cursor should disappear/appear stuck
  7. Pressing enter a couple of times allows you to write again and a (random) character should appear on the initial line you attempted to type on

There are other ways to achieve this but the steps above should consistently work.

Expected behavior:
I should be able to write a bug report without issues on Orion.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Version 0.99.124.4.4-rc (WebKit 616.1.14.11.1)
MacBook Air (macOS Ventura 13.4.1 build 22F82)

laiz Can you confirm this fixed in latest RC?

I am still able to reproduce the issue using the steps in the original report.
      Version 0.99.124.4.8-rc (WebKit 616.1.22)
      Build date Jul 29 2023
MacBook Air (macOS Ventura 13.5 build 22G74)

laiz Seems to be Orion related right? (not in Safari?)

Both Orion and Safari TP (Release 175 (Safari 17.0, WebKit 18617.1.1.2)) have this issue.
On Safari Version 16.6 (18615.3.12.11.2) the bug report form works as expected.

I haven't reported this to WebKit as I haven't encountered anything similar on any other website and creating a bug akin to "the form on this one particular site doesn't work" does not seem like a good bug report. However, if someone disagrees with that assessment, feel free to report it.

I am no longer able to reproduce this; most likely this has been fixed and the issue should be marked as done @Vlad
