Steps to reproduce:
DeArrow is a browser extension for crowdsourcing better titles and thumbnails on YouTube.

  1. Install DeArrow: Github, Chrome store, Firefox store
  2. Go to a YouTube channel with clickbait thumbnails and titles. I'll use Linus Tech Tips as an example.
  3. Notice that the thumbnails and titles aren't being replaced with crowdsourced ones
  4. Test the extension on Chrome/Firefox and notice that it works as expected

Expected behavior:
The thumbnails and titles should be replaced according to the extension settings.

With the recent extension related upgrades, DeArrow now works nearly flawlessly on Orion.
This issue can be marked as done.

update: 125.5 RC seems to be running into some issues, I'll continue testing

      2024 update:

      • When DeArrow works, it works exactly as expected
      • However, something is still causing the extension to not replace titles or thumbnails after a while of browsing, requiring the user to relaunch Orion to restore functionality.

For me it seems to squish thumbnails. This is how they look in Orion:

And how thumbails looks in Chrome:

In Orion black bars appear in top/bottom of thumbnail, at they're squished.

Edit: After some time they thumbnails extended to normal size without doing anything. Weird, but OK, now they look normal.

          October 2024: the issues persists.

However, I now have reliable steps for reproducing:

          1. Open an Orion profile with DeArrow installed
          2. Go to https://www.youtube.com/@LinusTechTips/videos (or any other youtube channel)
          3. Notice that the thumbnails are replaced as expected.
          4. Open a new private browsing window
          5. Refresh the original youtube page with the video thumbnails
          6. DeArrow no longer works (= the thumbnails and titles are no longer being replaced) and the user has to relaunch the Orion profile to restore functionality
