Now with Kagi Translate, I think this will come up as feedback more and more.

Ideally, Kagi would follow Apple's playbook and offer a single bundle subscription for all products OR individual subscriptions for each.

what if someone wants Kagi starter + Orion+ - then this would have to be $10.

And suddenly we have multiple "bundle" plans etc.

Any thoughts from a user perspective?

I love how the Kagi Ultimate tier includes access to LLMs from multiple vendors and the excellent Kagi search results.

Adding Orion+ as part of the package would make it truly the “ultimate” subscription!

The benefits being beta testing? The way Onion+ is pitched now is that it’s a donation to beta test and feel like you are supporting a good cause and making it happen. Nothing tangible for the money.

You'd be paying for a browser that has the users' best interest as its number one priority. The web browser is the most important tool for most of us, yet we expect it to be free, which is simply unsustainable. I'd say this makes Orion's benefits quite tangible. I understand not everyone sees it like this as there are alternatives that are available for no monetary cost.

It has been communicated by Vlad on multiple occasions that it would instead be a separate "Kagi bundle" as people who are subscribing to Kagi ultimate on non-apple platform would feel like they are paying extra for something they cannot use.

laiz I get your point but at the same time tangible benefits would come in when we can go beyond “run a proxy, see no ping to home” as our measure of how private the browser is. For example, it should forensically be no trace browser to be worth the tag, not simply because it makes it easy for me to use Kagi as default search. Right now a couple of threads show our history database still has traces of searched pages when exclusively set the browser as “do not store history”. This can be a concern if we push Orion+ as a value proposition - things can get worse in beta and right now beta testing is the paid advantage for Orion+, nothing else.

I personally think the "ultimate" plan should be the ultimate kagi plan. If the margins allow it, it should just include all the things (mail, translate, the ai stuff, and orion), it should in theory not be the same price as everything combined because not everyone will use every feature. There is also the point that in the case of Orion a recurring subscription is more valuable to kagi than a one time payment.

I think you'll greatly increase the value and draw by combining these products together as a package and thereby get more $!
