Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open an installed extension (e.g. uBlock Origin) and set some settings.
  2. Fully close and restart the browser.
  3. Open the extension from Step 1 again and notice that any changes you made are now gone.

Expected behavior:
Extension storage should be saved upon restarting the browser.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Version 0.99.124.4.2-rc (WebKit 616.1.14.11.1)
MacBook Pro (macOS Ventura 13.4 build 22F66)

          I can reproduce this on uBlock Origin, installed from the Firefox add-on store.

          Likewise on the Bitwarden extension, again installed from the Firefox add-on store - configure a server, log in, tell it to remember your email. The email and server will be forgotten on a close/reload cycle of Orion RC.

          I can reproduce it with Vimium. All my custom mappings are lost on restart. I need to invoke Vimium settings, save them, then they persist until the next restart.

          Both the chrome and firefox versions exhibit the same behaviour.

            Can confirm that Bitwarden lost all settings and was logged out upon installing version 0.99.124.4.2-rc in macOS 14.0 Beta (23A5257q)
