  • Selecting history entries from address bar doesn't work when using Kagi search

  • BugsDesktopDone

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new profile called "Testing"
  2. When prompted to select a search engine, select Kagi
  3. Using the address bar, search for "kagi faq"
  4. Log into Kagi
  5. Open https://kagi.com/faq from the test results
  6. Focus the address bar and enter "kagi faq" again
  7. Note the address bar suggests history entries for both the kagi results page and https://kagi.com/faq
  8. Pressing the down arrow key move the selection to https://kagi.com/faq
  9. Note how the address bar still shows "kagi faq - Kagi Search"
  10. Press enter to try to open https://kagi.com/faq
  11. Orion navigates to https://kagi.com/search?q=kagi+faq+-+Kagi+Search

Expected behavior:
Orion navigates to https://kagi.com/faq

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Version 0.99.124.4.1-beta (WebKit 616.1.14.11.1)
MacBook Pro (macOS Ventura 13.4 build 22F66)

Image/Video:

I believe this only happens if a Kagi search result is the first hit in the history section. If you have multiple history entries from kagi search results, the - Kagi Search suffix gets added multiple times, so the address bar ends up looking like kagi faq - Kagi Search - Kagi Search.
If you click the suggestion with the pointer instead of using the keyboard Orion still completes the wrong thing in the address bar, but navigates to the right page, ignoring the contents of the address bar. I guess when you press enter it's a different code path.
