  • A new window should open when a windowless Orion is reopened via an app-switcher

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Orion
  2. Close the window
  3. Select another app
  4. Reopen Orion via an app-switcher (e.g., Spotlight, Alfred, Raycast)

Expected behavior:
Orion opens a new window.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
macOS 13.4; Orion 0.99.124.1

    Hello,

    i just installed the update on macOS Catalina and noticed that a new window opens when switching to windowless Orion via Command+Tab. Is this expected behaviour?

      @ncl I think you're right that opening on Command+Tab is non-standard.

      My request (thank you, Vlad, btw) was specifically for the app-launcher use case.

        I also think that these are two different scenarious. Spotlight etc. launch the app, Command+Tab should only focus it.

        I'm not sure if this is related to the new feature but whenever i open a website from outside Orion and there are no open windows, Orion opens an empty tab in additon to the requested site.

        jeffdaley We uderstood that included cmc-tab as it is used for app-switching. Please create a new card to change the current behavior, if desired.
