Not possible to search for strings that look like domains

Steps to reproduce:

Type "werkzeug.security" into the search bar
Click the search suggestion
Observe that the browser still tries to navigate to http://werkzeug.security

Expected behavior:
If I click a search suggestion, I expect the browser to search for the thing I typed, however much like a URL it looks.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Version 0.99.124.1-beta (WebKit 616.1.10)

the problem is also on mobile.

Orion on both mobile and desktop treats "suggestions" kinda like "Siri suggestions"

Its also a bit confusing that a suggestion can both be a suggestion for a website link and for a search.

On Safari Mobile the just call it Search which is more clear. Desktop Safari calls it the same as Orion. ("Seach Engine" Suggestions)

The functionality of being able to go directly to a website without having typed everything in is nice to have tho, and since Orion doesnt have Siri Suggestions. that would go away if this got "fixed"

I would suggest first of all changing the wording so its more clear.

And then duplicate search suggestions that are full websites (since Orion allready detect them) , so they show up in both search section and website suggestion section. So you can acces them both as a search and as a website

Add a section that is called "Search engine name" Website Suggestions
That duplicates the search results that are URLs and brings you directly to the page (Like orion currently do with search suggestions that are URLs)
Replace "Search engine name" Suggestions.

Try typing hello.com, and pick search suggestion and it will navigate to hello.com instead

Longely .security is a top-level domain, so its a valid domain name. Its obvious to try loading this as a webpage. Please try this on Safari too.

Any non TLD domain getting treated like a search, like any other browser. For example, try loading test.swift in address bar, it will just send you to the search page 🙂

the problem here is not if things are valid domains or not, the problem here is he is clicking search suggestions, so thats a suggestion for a search, not a website suggestion. hence why i made the proposal for the system you can see above (since Orion doesnt have Siri suggestions)

Safari doesnt go to the URL when you choose it as a search suggestion, regardless of what it is, cnn.com or whatever. it goes for the search
