Vlad I understand. For me VueJS and then DevToolsForTailwind 🙂 Though I feel like making one work would open door for making others work as well. Give me Vue devtool and I will dump Firefox, give me DTFW, and I will dump Chrome 😉

Vlad As far as importance, the answer is going to be subjective based on who you ask, but FWIW, React is definitely the most popular and widely used JS framework. But yes, one should theoretically open the doors for the others.

Yes, I can +1 on asking for React dev tools. I really like the browser, but I often have to switch because of this.

+1 React Developer Tools, it's the only reason I switch back to Firefox at some points.

@Vlad would appreciate some visibility on where support for React Devtools is on the roadmap, as it's a blocker for me to use it as my daily driver as well 🙂 I would expect that while people want their own platform to be well-supported, React is definitely still the more popular framework, so if you're fishing for which is higher impact—probably React.

        EDIT: just sponsored this issue!

@Vlad been a while but any updates here? Wanting to switch to Orion but still blocked by this since I’m developing React everyday so it’s pretty essential.

As mentioned a year ago, React remains by far the biggest web platform and looks to stay that way for the considerable future, so you’d get a lot more web developer users by supporting it. Thanks!

osdiab Nope, we are stuck dealing with 2000+ other issues, most easier than this. Patience as we are still only 3 dev team.

Just a +1 from me in 2024. Vue dev tools specifically in my case. But understand the complexity involved.

Reply to myself. At least for the case of Vue, this is supported using the upcoming version of Vue Devtools ( Vue DevTools Next ). In addition to a web extension (which still does not work in Orion), they recommend running the devtools as a Vite plugin. This approach essentially injects the full devtools into the running Vue application and, more importantly, works really nicely in Orion:

Just a heads for anyone looking to use Orion for Vue development.

+1'ing this as well. Recently adopted Orion and I love it. I'm a UI Engineer and the value of having extensions that rely on reading network request data is huge for me. GraphQL Network Inspector, React Dev Tools, etc.

Thanks for all the work on this Vlad and team. You all have done a wonderful job.

Being able to use Rails Panel would be great addition to Orion. Do we know if orion supports background.Service_Worker?
