Steps to reproduce:

After using the Orion browser for some time, a browser window sometimes enters a failure mode where the user can no longer edit the URL in the address bar. I do not know how to trigger the failure mode but it has happened to me intermittently on two separate days. I have always had several tabs open (e.g. 71 in the last instance) when the failure mode started, but the number of tabs might not be relevant.

In this failure mode it seems to store the URL of the current tab and from that point onwards only it forces that URL on all tabs where the user tries to edit the URL manually.

For example, if I start a new tab with Command-T, which positions the cursor in the address bar, and if I start typing "https:" it accepts it, but as soon as I press "/" the entire address bar contents is abruptly replaced with the stored URL (see above) and that page is loaded.

Other ways of editing the address bar also fail, for example, press Command-V to paste a URL from the clipboard.

One thing that works normally are searching (via the default search engine) from the address bar. For example, typing "wikipedia" followed by the Return key triggers Google search results as per-normal. But if I try to type https://wikipedia.com it's impossible because the address bar is replaced with the stored URL as described earlier.

The arrow keys also work normally, so I can position the cursor part way through the existing URL, but I can't insert new text into the URL without triggering the page load.

File, New Window results in a window where the address bar is not acting crazy. The original window continues to behave incorrectly.

Orion, "Quit Orion" brings back all my tabs (because I have that startup mode configured) and then the window with the same tabs is cured -- it is no longer in the failure mode.

Expected behavior:

I expect the address bar to allow me to type characters at will into the address bar and only refresh the page when I press the Return key. At that point I expect the new page to be the one published on the URL I just entered.

I now realise that the failure mode is triggered when I drag the address bar URL into the Bookmarks bar!

I have the Bookmarks bar showing permanently under the address bar.

It doesn't seem to happen for the bookmarking of all URLs. It seems to happen every time with this URL: https://demo.abc.net.au/?mode=give2&dfkey=1172

I modified the hostname slightly for privacy reasons.
