Steps to reproduce:
When I have tens, for example 82 tabs open, Orion iOS is very slow and unresponsive.

Expected behavior:
The app to stay fast and responsive, even with up to 100+ tabs, as Safari does.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Orion 1.2.7, iOS 16.4, iPhone 12 mini.

I’ve experienced this since I was testing the TestFlight a while ago. The solution has been to just close most/all tabs. This resolves the issue and the app is fast again.
I thought this might have been improved, and I think I saw release notes mentioning a memory leak, but it’s been some time and is still an issue, so thought I’d share this here.

Thanks!

As someone with a bit fewer tabs (50-60) on similar hardware, the app does feel sluggish sometimes. I specifically notice it when returing to a session. It seems like Orion is restoring the state of too many tabs at once, or loading them too late when switching tabs. Sometimes a device reboot helps, other times it doesn't.

I don't know if there are steps to reproduce this issue, but something related to loading/reloading tabs may be the issue.

Turn ON "Hide toolbar on scroll" and "Focus mode" with more than 10 tabs (doesn't matter it's a home start page or some site)
than choose one tab (with long site eg: try search in google — news) and scroll down and up fast.

When "Hide toolbar on scroll" is ON — when you browsing and especially when scrolling up and down the site page — Orion is really slow and starts lagging
(Now I use browser with OFF "Hide toolbar on scroll" unfortunately)

Thank you - I found this because Orion is feeling slow and laggy - turning off both these options has restored it to being relatively snappy.

robrecord Can you record a video with these options off and on so that we can see the impact you see?
