Google Translate extension does not translate webpage
- Edited
I figure out why it works for you.
I also have "uBlock Origin" enabled. When uBlock is disabled, the translation works.
So it seems to been some extenssion clash, but only on specific websites. Would be interesting to see what triggers the bug.
I updated the issue.
The question is, why it does not block on other webpages? or other browsers?
Iusan There are over 300,000 extensions out there and we are not initimately famiiliar with how they work. This can help https://help.kagi.com/orion/support-and-community/troubleshooting-extension-issues.html
I disabled all other extenssions and now most of the time it still does not work on https://www.vivobarefoot.com/se/ and didn't see it work at all on https://www.kettlebellshop.se
The other links seem to work.
I checked the console, and the only error I could somethimes see on the tab when not working is:
[Info] Content blocker prevented frame displaying https://www.vivobarefoot.com/se/ from loading a resource from https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id=GTM-NX8W5M (bundle-common.min.js, line 1, x2)
But on the extension I did not see anything.
When it works I get:
[Info] Content blocker prevented frame displaying https://www.vivobarefoot.com/se/ from loading a resource from https://translate.google.com/gen204?sl=auto&tl=en&textlen=69&ttt=532&ttl=42&sr=1&nca=te_time&client=tee&logld=vTE_20230412 (m=el_main, line 435)
and
[Info] Content blocker prevented frame displaying https://www.vivobarefoot.com/se/ from loading a resource from https://translate.googleapis.com/element/log?format=json&hasfast=true&authuser=0 (element.js, line 135)

EDIT: Exactly one year has passed! Didn't notice it at first. That makes this thread even more important and puzzling.
There are over 300,000 extensions out there and we are not initimately famiiliar with how they work.
Vlad Then maybe focus on the few who are the most popular in the world? uBlock Origin is not "one of those 300,000 extensions", it is hands down the best content blocker on the market today, especially considering what Youtube dared to do to users by late 2023.
As for me, I use AdNauseam (the Firefox extension). It is also based on uBlock Origin. I use AdNauseam because I find it prettier and easier to configure, but that is a matter of taste. I can confirm that the Google Translate extension from the Chrome web store does not work when both are installed. And Google Translate is not "one of those 300,000 extensions" either, especially as Orion lacks the built-in ability of Safari to translate web pages.
uBlock Origin (and its variant AdNauseam) do not prevent Google Translate from working in other browsers.
PS: The combination of the "Safari look & feel" + AdNauseam extension (against YouTube horrific ads) is primarily the reason that led me to install Orion on my iMac, iPad and iPhone in the first place, and configured it as the default web browser instead of Safari.
(Although I can see some old topics like this and this, I noticed that there are no new recent comments.)
My Google Translate extension is not able to translate the whole page since some recent versions. Specifically, when I click the extension button, it says "Page translation is built into Chrome" without offering the option to process the visited webpage. I tried disabling all other extensions, but nothing changed. I've also tried reinstalling, and that didn't fix the problem either.
The extension can successfully translate the page.

It seems that the brave browser has the same problem.
how do you remove ublock origin?
