Another way IMO to make Safaris animation better, would also be to simply remove the part of the animation where the browser window swipes left. and then only having the video window expand. right now it creates really fast movement in 2 different directions because of it. But maybe that part of the animation is the OS creating a new space for the video not sure

Yes, this is one of the best parts of using Firefox. Implementing in in Orion would be amazing as the fullscreen animation is jittery most of the time and makes the experience of watching media feel clunky.

this is fullscreen should work on macOS. when you enter fullscreen, a new Desktop is created for that fullscreen window, and the animation there helps show that new desktop creation.

I believe this is handled by WebKit, not Safari/Orion. So the right place to start this conversation would be on by submitting an issue to webkit.org

@Vlad As you have planned this feature, will this be like firefox where the fullscreen video wont take another desktop space, or is it like safari where it will take another desktop space but only the transition would be seemless like in firefox?
