Thanks @eirk for getting to it before I could.

It's also worth noting this only seems to happen when clicking on specific widgets in the toolbar. It does NOT happen when clicking on the address bar or blank space, or even when opening the Tab Overview.

It DOES happen when switching tabs (using either the tab bar or Tab Overview), opening the window-switcher popup (as shown in the video), or when opening the Downloads popup.

ThinkingDes @eirk I’ve been unable to reproduce.

Are there any specific settings that trigger the issue in Google Docs or Orion, or steps to reproduce? Conversely, is there any workaround?
Does anyone happen to reproduce the issue on a non-Sonoma macOS?
Is it reproducible on a clean profile? If not, what extensions do you have installed?

astruckm Are you signed in to google? It looks like it only occurs when signed in to google. I tested this on a used and new profile. When logged in to one or more google accounts, this issue occurs, but when logged out, none of this scrolling happens.

the only extension i have installed is bitwarden, which has no effect

it still happens for me on latest rc build Version 0.99.127.3.1-rc (WebKit 619.1.11.111.2)

I haven't changed any settings that I'm aware of; @eirk's video shows everything I know of that's required to reproduce. However, I'm not seeing this bug anymore on the latest build, and I suppose it's also possible that something changed on Google's side.

The only extension I have installed is 1Password.

Steps to reproduce:

Go to a google doc or notion
Type some stuff there
Go to a different tab
come back
observe cursor is in a different position

Expected behavior:
cursor position does not move

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Device: 2020 13" M1 MacBook Pro
OS: macOS Monterey 12.2 (Build 21D49)
Orion: Version 0.99.111.2-rc (WebKit 613.1.12)

eirk Can you still reproduce this bug on the latest version of Orion? I have not been able to do so, both logged in and logged off, compatibility mode on and off.

astruckm Yes, i have been able to reproduce this issue on every version of orion so far. How have you been testing this? I can't find a way to not have this issue occur.

eirk these are the same steps, and it still happens.

the bug may be more obvious if the doc is filled with conetnt, for more than one pgae, as it would scroll to the very first page.

Could you attach a video of you not being able to reproduce the issue?
