Steps to reproduce:

  • Click a few links to build a page history
  • Go back one step (using shortcut or button)
  • Cmd + ] now does not work to go forward
  • Go back once more (so you have two pages in the forward history)
  • Press the forward button
  • Now Cmd + ] works

Expected behavior:
Shortcuts always work

Orion and macOS:
Version 0.99.108.1-beta (WebKit 613.1.10)
macOS 12.0.1 (21A559)
Compatibility mode ON
Extensions (disabled):

  • Dark Reader
  • BitWarden

Notes:

  • Safari doesn't have this issue
  • Happens with Compatibility mode off and on
  • The back button, History > Back/Forward menu items, and Cmd + ArrowLeft/ArrowRight always work
  • When the shortcut doesn't work, you get that little "bop" sound like you are trying to do something that isn't possible
  • The Cmd + [ shortcut also doesn't work sometimes but somehow it feels harder to trigger this
  • I had Karabiner-Elements and BetterTouchTool running initially; I disabled both of them in case the user input stuff they do was interfering but issue remained
  • Feels like an off-by-one kinda thing 😅

Same issue! I couldnt find out how to reproduce it on demand though, so never reported it.

Cannabat Good detective work, we have been chasing this one for a while!
