Yes support for some kind of theming is planned, although it will be using native components so firefox/chrome themes will not work.

Lots of themes on the firefox addons website.

Perhaps placing a background image underneath the tab chrome and taking the background color of the theme and placing it into macOS would fare?

            Bjdev Orion and Safari use native macOS components. Any browser using native macOS controls and following HIG would look the same.
