this isn't really a bug or suggestion but more of an open 'just a random thought here for tonight' thing for no real reason..

how come command-w actually closes the window even although the file menu strongly suggests that wanting to do that should had been invoked by shift-command-w instead

and although I did find two prior user bug reports last month related to this I still do have to just lightly wonder if "show warning before quitting" checkbox in preferences maybe is the wrong kind of spelling in some user usercases. I'm not calling anyone dumb but the only thing in menu that has the word 'quit' in it is invoked by command-q. but of course we know that command-q and (shift-)command-w are two very different kinds of animals?

anyway please don't complain to the few devs themselves as its not like theres any literal data bombs or anything? ;-)

    portastar Can you compare behavior with Safari? If same it is part of the HIG pattern. If not the same please post details here so we can make it the same.
