  • Version 0.99.123.3-beta so extremely laggy that it is unusable (possible libsqlite3.dylib issue)

  • BugsDesktopClarification

Steps to reproduce:
I updated to Version 0.99.123.3-beta today and cannot use Orion anymore. Just opening the program will induce extreme lag and instantly spin up my notebook fans to max speed. Opening a web site or a local HTML file will freeze the system for a while, the same with doing anything else. Even closing the window takes several seconds due to lag.

From activity monitor Orion is using extreme amounts of energy, as well as WindowServer.

From System Logs I see Orion spamming immense amounts of "automatic index on icon_info(HASH)" every millisecond with the libsqlite3.dylib library.

I found a temporary solution in deleting all bookmarks. But of course it's not ideal. As of the release notes, the 0.99.123.3 update was supposed to solve the icon hash issue, but for me it introduced this bug.

Vlad was not supposed to be like this. But I think clearing cache (Develop->Empty Cache) can resolve the issue for now

I don't think it was an indexing problem, I let the program be open for maybe 30 minutes, and when not active it would cool down. As soon as switching to Orion it would start blasting the fans and spamming this "automatic index on icon_info(HASH)" message.

I've now reimported my bookmarks and reading list without any issue, in total a few hundred items. My history is about 20 000 items, could that be the source of any problems?

Edit: About 10-15 minutes after reimporting my bookmarks, Orion has started to consume huge amounts of CPU . I deleted caches in the developer menu, it didn't change anything.

I have the same issue, it is very laggy and even closes windows randomly. I tried the cash delete but that didnt fix it.
