  • Page has no tab at all when opening an external link or moving tab to another group

  • BugsDesktopDone

Steps to reproduce:
Open a link from email or somewhere else: the page loads, but there's no tab for the page. No tab is active.
Also happens when you move a tab to another group and then switch to that group. The moved page is loaded, but it doesn't have a tab and no tab is active.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Version 0.99.123.3-beta (WebKit 615.1.16.1), macOS 11.7.4

BTW, I noticed I can get out of this situation by activating an existing tab with mouse click or using ctrl-tab/shift-ctrl-tab to select an adjanced tab. After this the new tab appears.

Stakker Not able to reproduce. Please follow the bug template to help us replicate this.

Hardware is Intel MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013).
Do you want a video too? Or which bug template are you referring to?

Today I actually haven't been able to replicate the "open link from another application" issue myself, but here's a video of the disappearing tab when moving to another group. This happens reliably every time:

At the end I click the last tab, and that's when the moved tab appears.

Stakker I think the video refers to

"Also happens when you move a tab to another group and then switch to that group. The moved page is loaded, but it doesn't have a tab and no tab is active."

Vlad Yes, that's what the video shows.

BTW, if I move multiple tabs to another group, none of those show up before I select an existing tab. Then they all appear at once, just like the one tab appears in the video.
