Orio. crashes MacOS Finder, requiring reboot to fix

Orion, whether in compatibility mode or not, frequently crashes MacOS Finder. Tried all ways to restart Finder, but always only solution is to reboot Mac. Is a big problem because it means a scientific calculation running at low CPU/RAM at the same time that takes days to complete needs to be restarted. Same behaviour between the two 0.99.122 versions and now the 0.99.123 version.

Same behaviour on macOS Catalina (iMac intel I7) and MacOS Ventura (MacBook Pro Intel i5), tons of RAM.

ok.. this isn't helpful at all. there is no info given on how the crash occurs, or why, or what you did.
just stating "orion crashes" doesn't really help anyone
