Steps to reproduce:
Tried with both compatibility mode and extensions, same result in both scenarios. CPU usage of Orion content(prewarmed) jumps to around 35-40% and processor power consumption jumps to around 1.5-2 watts. The power consumption also jumps to around 4-5 watts and orion prewarmed content CPU usage jumps to 100% on large videos which are more than 40 mins long. This is happening only recently after one update. Just playing youtube videos of any kind results in this.

Expected behavior:
In comparision, when playing the same videos in safari, CPU usage of safari is quite low and power consumption stays between 0.2-0.3 watts.

0gab0ga Can you record a video comparing Orion and Safari in same circumstances (have you tried with a new clean profile?)

Vlad Thank you for your reply. It seems to be the case that setting up a clean profile solved the issue for me, i have no idea why but it worked. CPU usage and power consumption is now equivalent to safari and is quite low.

0gab0ga The main difference is probably in extensions you were previously using. Extension support is experimental and extensions canl cause issues such as the one you've seen. Was that not evident from the documentation we forced everyone read to enable installing extensions?

If you can debug which extension was causing the issue in question, let us know.
