Steps to reproduce:
Strange behaviour observed with the saved windows. Observed this in the RC and in the current stable release
When I try to save a window -> nothing happens. The window is renamed but then is lost from the list. Only the previously created saved windows are retained.
To debug this then tried to do a factory reset. Even more weirdly, all existing saved windows survive all resets (regular, factory, etc) and everything below that I've tried.
- Tried deleting ~/Library/Application Support/Orion RC
- Tried defaults delete com.kagi.kagimacOS.RC
- Tried deleteing the web cache,
- Tried deleting everything from the FAQ technical section.
- Tried disconnecting iPhone (to remove any wierd sync issues)
After all of these and various combinations. The list of saved windows survives the reset and cannot create new saved windows from an open window with tabs.
- Checked the permissions of browser_state.plist and the other plist files in the Orion RC directory. All have normal user:staff permissions.
Is there some other data that is stored on disk with the application state?
Note that when I switched to the RC , I copied my old Orion settings to orion RC.
Expected behavior:
- Create a new saved window
- Delete all saved windows on any reset
